On this week's episode, Jovin interviewed Dr. Shari Allen who is a teacher at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM - Georgia campus) and practices at the Atlanta VAMC where her primary focus is patients with mental health disorders. On part 2 of this 2-part series, Dr. Shari Allen discusses how she would approach a suicidal patient, the importance of taking mental health first aide courses as healthcare professionals, and some patient counseling tips.
